Meet Maria Bruggere, the always blonde, never boring, funny gal who’s been lighting up stages all over the country. Based in Los Angeles, Maria is proud to be in development at the World Famous Comedy Store and a regular performer at The Hollywood Improv. She also runs two monthly Comedy n’ Chill shows at the Hollywood Improv and Fanatic Salon Theater in Culver City. Her Culver City show was most recently featured in the 2026 Netflix is a Joke Comedy Festival.

Maria’s humor can be best described as sharp, confident, and quick-witted — turning ordinary situations into laugh-worthy material. No matter the subject, Maria’s fearless approach to getting a laugh wins audiences over every time.

Since August of 2025, Maria has been a door girl at the Crow Comedy Club in Santa Monica. During her time as a Door Girl she has done cold opens for JFL New Faces, Netflix Is A Joke Festival shows, and more.

In 2024, Maria recorded a set for Netflix is a Joke on Sirius XM and was an on-camera host for Regal Movies social accounts.

In 2021, she went viral on TikTok for putting a tape measure between her legs. Known to some as #tapemeasuregirl, Maria has amassed over 45 million views and has nearly 30k followers across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, and growing.  

She’s also the host of Room For Rent Podcast, where she interviews friends, family, celebrities, and beyond about their crazy roommate experiences. It’s definitely worth checking out - people like to live with murderers.
